Custom Process
How long does a bespoke piece take?
Standard timeline is 5–6 weeks from approved render. Rush (3 weeks) is possible for a 20% surcharge and limits you to one render revision. Engraving and sizing add 2–3 days.
Do I need to visit the studio?
No. About 80% of our clients work entirely by email and WhatsApp. We ship fully insured to 19 countries. If you are in Shenzhen, we welcome studio visits by appointment.
Can you work from my sketch or a photo?
Yes — send us anything: a napkin drawing, a Pinterest board, a screenshot of another brand. We will turn it into an original render. We do not copy trademarked designs exactly, but we will capture the spirit.
How many design revisions do I get?
Two rounds of 3D render revisions are included. After casting begins, changes require re-casting and are quoted separately. We recommend using the render rounds well.
Can I supply my own stone?
Yes. We accept client-supplied stones (up to 2ct for center stones). We will inspect it under loupe on arrival and confirm it is suitable for the setting design.
Pricing & Payment
What is the minimum budget?
For a finished bespoke ring with a center stone, plan from around $800. A plain wedding band starts at $350. Most clients land between $1,200 and $3,500.
Why is bespoke more expensive than retail?
You pay for one artisan, one piece, and two render revisions. There is no mass-production margin, but there is also no middleman markup. The quote you approve is the final price.
Are there hidden fees?
No. The quote includes casting, setting, finishing, insured shipping and one free resize. We only quote extras in writing before we start.
Do you offer payment plans?
We take 50% deposit to start, 50% before shipping. For pieces over $5,000 we can split into three installments. We accept bank transfer, Wise and major cards.
Material Selection
18K gold or platinum — which is better?
They are not better or worse, they feel different. Platinum is denser and patinas softly; 18K gold is lighter and stays its color. Platinum costs 1.5–2x more. We help you choose based on daily wear and budget.
Is moissanite a fake diamond?
No. Moissanite is a real mineral (silicon carbide), graded by GRA. It is 9.25 on Mohs, with more fire than diamond. It is a different stone, not an imitation — like sapphire is not a "fake ruby".
Will white gold turn yellow?
White gold is rhodium-plated. Over 18–24 months the plating wears and the underlying gold tone shows through. Re-plating costs $40 and takes 3 days. Platinum does not need this.
Can I wear my ring every day?
Yes, if it is designed for daily wear. We design low-profile settings for hand-active jobs. Avoid pavé on the top of the band if you type 8 hours a day — it catches.
Sizing & Adjustments
What if the ring does not fit?
One resize in the first year is free. After that, resizing is $40–$80 depending on the piece and the size change. We measure your finger twice before casting to minimize this.
How do I know my ring size?
Order our $10 ring sizer (refundable against your order), or measure an existing comfortable ring with a ruler and compare against our chart. Half sizes are free.
After-sales & Warranty
What is the warranty?
One year on workmanship. Prong checks, cleaning and rhodium refresh quotes are free for life. We will always tell you honestly if a repair is worth the cost.
What if a stone falls out?
Send it back. If it is workmanship, we fix it free. If it is accidental damage, we quote before touching anything. We ship both ways insured.
Can I upgrade the stone later?
Yes. Most of our settings are designed to be re-set. Bring in the ring, we will quote a re-set with a larger or different stone.
International Shipping
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship DHL/FedEx insured to 19 countries. Typical delivery is 3–7 days. Full insurance and signature-on-delivery are included.
Will I pay customs duties?
Yes, customs duties are the buyer's responsibility. We declare the commercial value honestly. For US clients under $800, duty is usually $0 under de minimis.
Care & Cleaning
How do I clean my ring at home?
Warm water + mild dish soap + soft toothbrush, once a week. No ultrasonic for opal, pearl or emerald. Take it off for hand cream and dishwashing — soap film is why diamonds look dull.
Can I swim with my ring?
Chlorine can pit gold over years. Take it off in pools and hot tubs. Salt water is less harmful but dry it thoroughly after the beach.
How often should I service my ring?
Once a year: prong check, clean, re-polish if needed. We offer free in-studio service; mailing service is $25 round-trip.
